Name of the story: Food crisis dishes up both challege and opportunity
Name of the newspaper/website:
date of the article: April 13, 2008
2.The main argument: THE global food crisis has driven up the country’s rate of inflation. This increasingly put basic foodstuffs beyond the reach of the country’s poor. This is sure to lead to increased levels of social and political discontentment in the country. This infaltion was due to 2 main reasons, high demand from the wealthy and global warming on previously productive agricultural areas. There should be a solution for this inflation maybe if, businesses, government and labour worked together to manage the impact of the food crisis in South Africa and its fallout.
My opinion: I totally agree with this article.
